Welcome to the Illiana Garden Pond Walk 2005

Crown Point, Indiana

House #8

Number of Gallons:
1700  *  Inhabitants: Goldfish and frogs

Date of Creation: 2004  *  Size of Pond: 8' x 33' x 36"
Number of Gallons: 8000  *  Inhabitants: Goldfish and frogs

The owners designed and built the ponds in 2004 and had the liners installed professionally.

The two individual ponds are unique because the upper pond feeds the the lower pond. Both ponds are fed by a fifteen foot stream that cascades and steps down and finally drops into the upper pond. The upper pond cascades over an eighteen inch waterfall to fill the lower pond. The total length of both ponds is approximately 46 feet.

The Pond sits in what used to be a ravine and can be viewed from many angles and heights. It is surrounded by trees, flowered terraces, grassy hills, several flower gardens and a large vegetable garden. The shore line of Lake Dalecarla sits at the bottom of the hill and viewed from the north end of the pond, the pond looks like it's part of the Lake.
