Pond Walks
Welcome to the Illiana Garden Pond Walk 2007
Munster, Indiana
Pond #2
Opportunities for relaxation and reflection are abundant in a small yard punctuated with five seating areas, each with its own water feature. A wall fountain above an herb garden is located on the deck. A barrel with two frogs having a ball is on a slate patio with adirondack seats. A three level bubbler is viewed from two hammock swings in an arbor built by the owners. One can swivel in the swings for a view of Hart Ditch. A Lutyens bench, built by the owner, faces a fifteen foot stream with four mini falls which are cascading toward a disappearing fall and rock bubbler. Finally, a tree hammock swing sways next to a two-level copper fountain featuring a spitting fish on the upper level and a spitting frog on the second level. This haven has been a work in progress for about a dozen years. The owners have enjoyed each project which they have created themselves. At the end of each day, they enjoy their gardens which are punctuated by the sounds of birds and water.
