Welcome to the Illiana Garden Pond Walk 2007
Crown Point, Indiana
Pond #4
FAIRIES ! FROGS! and a HANDSOME PRINCE ! adorn this 3 year old pond. The Handsome Prince, a sea dragon, gazes into the split waterfall cascading in into the 2000 gallon 12x18x3 pond, home to 6 koi, 1 shubunkin, numerous gold fish, 16 resident frogs and many daily"bird bathers". The product of many dreams, the pond was designed and built by the owner and a friend, with coaching from the folks at Waters Edge. Hand picked flagstone, from a farm field in Illinois, surrounds the outdoor Scrabble game and makes up the floor of the "L" shaped gazebo added in 2006. From the gazebo swing, you have a great view of the second pond, just added in June, to house the ever growing koi population. My "Pondering Palace" shed was constructed in May 2007 as an outdoor project area. This backyard retreat is surrounded by many trees, bushes, perennial and annual flowers. Please come out and enjoy my dreams come true!!!
