Pond #19
469 Vanderwalker Lane Homewood, IL
The pond was originally built in 1997 by the current owner and then beautifully
re-designed & rebuilt by Waters Edge in May 2010. The pond is 12 ft. x 21 ft. and 48 in. deep and has 4 amazingly beautiful waterfalls, which pump 10,000 gallons per hour. The pond is inhabited by Koi, goldfish, & Shubunkins of various sizes & ages and of course occasional frogs hop in and out. The pond has become the focal point of 3 acres of beautifully landscaped property. It is definitely our ‘hide-away’ ~ in Homewood, IL You’d never know the property was there if you didn’t see it for yourself! The pond has lush foliage amidst rock gardens that lend itself to this beautiful “Native American” motif. The pond falls are in the middle of a beautiful sculptured juniper tree. Native American artwork & yellow trumpet vines are on the fence by the lane. A variety of plants surround the pond and a deck, the built in seating provides a ’nestled in the woods’ setting that provides a very private area for contemplation & relaxation.
