Purdue University Horticulture Department

We visitied the newly installed rooftop gardens, the experimental greenhouses, and gardens around the campus. Then we ventured over to The Wolf Farm to see the wolves and listen to a lecture on wolves and families raised here. Finally stopping at a wonderful local bakery and deli to enjoy some tasty treats..  Click here to see the images.


Frederick Mejier Gardens and Sculpture Park

Our August 28, 2009 bus tour took us to two locations, Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park and the Grand Rapids Public Museum both in Grand Rapids Michigan.  Click here to see the images.

Bahai Temple, Wilmette, IL & Garfield Park Conservatory, Chicago, IL
This year's bus tour took us to not one, but two locations on August 25, 2007. We went to the Bahai Temple and then to the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago, IL.  Click here to see the images.



Cantigny Gardens - Wheaton, IL

This year's bus tour took us to the beautiful Cantigny Gardens located in nearby Wheaton, IL on August 19, 2006. We had a wonderful lunch provided by one of our members who owns Mrs. Dornberg's 24 Carrot Cuisine. Please click here to see the various attractions at the gardens.

Fernwood Botanical Gardens - Niles, MI

We went to the Fernwood Botanical Gardens located in Niles, MI on August 20, 2005 for our annual bus tour. The gardens were a very nice place to spend a hot muggy day during the "dog days of summer." The group also went to St. Julian Winery for a tour and Wicks Apple House for lunch.  Please click here to view our trip to the various locations.

Anderson Japanese Gardens - Rockford, IL  We went to the The Anderson Japanese Gardens located in Rockford, IL on September 11, 2004. These Gardens are the number one Japanese gardens outside of Japan according to our Dosan (guide)! The gardens definitely were a serene place to spend a summer's day and the gardens are a sight to behold! Please click here to view the Anderson Japanese Gardens

Rotary Gardens -Janesville, WI

We went to the Rotary Gardens in Janesville, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 11, 2004. These gardens are an internationally themed series of gardens and were very interesting for our members. Please click here to view the Rotary Garden.
